In Nico we are working in many different positions and roles. Our team is made up of both senior and junior ICT professionals. The common qualities for us all are initiative, willingness to learn new things and readiness to take the bull by the horns..
I have over 10 years of experience in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) area, both in its practice and in the process and system development. In my previous job I worked as Product Change Management Process Owner and was responsible for PLM training and system development.
I live with my husband and my 5-year-old son in Lohja, west of the capital area. Living in a detached house fills our spare time mainly with gardening or small renovation and decoration activities. I take care of my health by jogging and whenever I have time, I also go to spinning or workout in the Body Pump classes.
In 2009 I was let go from my previous job and found myself in front of new challenges. Nico had an appealing open position, so I contacted my future Nico line manager. He got interested in my PLM experience right away. At that moment I didn’t get the position I applied for, but Nico had recognized the need for PLM experts in the labour market!
I started as a Project Manager in Nico in January 2010, a couple of months after my first contact with the company. My current assignment consists of two projects, in which I work as a Specialist and a Project Manager. In other words, my experience is utilized not only from the project management perspective but also from the content point of view.
Working at Nico and in the customer projects has been interesting so far. I enjoy the flexibility offered by the assignments. In addition, the wage level obtainable in Nico is highly competitive, which is the “cherry on top of the cake” besides the meaningful work itself.
I am an energetic person and I like to take the bull by the horns with no hesitation. I am used to working in a multicultural environment and get along with different kinds of people - this may be partly due to my origins, which lay in the Eastern Finnish region of Savo!
