In Nico we are working in many different positions and roles. Our team is made up of both senior and junior ICT professionals. The common qualities for us all are initiative, willingness to learn new things and readiness to take the bull by the horns..
Before joining Nico, I had worked as a Project Manager in the IT sector for 10 years. Early this year I made a decision to resign from my job and to look around to seek new opportunities and challenges. I sent my application to Nico and got a response in a couple of hours. Two days later I attended an interview and heard more about Nico’s operational model. Highly impressed by the fast and straightforward approach and the unique way of working, I decided immediately to join Nico, with the target to start in the autumn.
Currently I am working as a Project Manager in a customer assignment. I enjoy project management work very much. I like the fact that a Project Manager is always working in a team and has an overall responsibility for leading the team successfully through the entire project lifecycle. This also requires a Project Manager to constantly develop both his "hard" skills (e.g. Methodology, Processes) and "soft" skills (e.g. Attitude, Behavior, Leadership, understanding people). And certainly, running each and every project is a unique learning and developing experience.
The major part of my spare time I spend doing things with my 9-year-old daughter, reading and learning to play the piano. I also play the Wii sport games and go jogging in the forest. I daily am teaching my daughter to read and write Chinese, because we are Chinese and speak only Chinese at home. I came to Finland in the mid 90s and first studied at the University of Oulu. I was born and grew up in the Chinese capital Beijing.
